Oil-based metalworking fluid use mineral oil, synthetic oil, or animal/vegetable oil as the base oil and are used without dilution. They offer excellent lubricating properties but relatively weaker cooling performance.They are mainly divided into mineral oil cutting oil / compound oil,extreme pressure (ep) cutting oil and active cutting oil.
